About This Service
A chip from road debris rarely stays a chip. Heat, cold, potholes, and even your defroster put stress on the damaged spot, and one morning the chip is a crack running across your view. Repairing it early keeps the original factory seal intact and costs a fraction of a replacement.
Darin comes to your driveway, office, or wherever the car is parked and injects a clear resin into the break, then cures and polishes it. The structural integrity comes back, the spread stops, and in most cases the blemish becomes barely visible. The whole visit usually takes about half an hour.
As a rule of thumb: chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than a few inches can usually be repaired. Damage in the driver’s direct line of sight, or cracks reaching the edge of the glass, typically call for a replacement instead — if that’s the case, we’ll tell you straight and quote you fairly for the right fix.

Can every chip be repaired?
Most, but not all. Chips smaller than a quarter and short cracks away from the edges are usually repairable. Damage directly in the driver’s line of sight or cracks that reach the edge of the glass generally need a replacement — we’ll assess it honestly and only recommend what the glass actually needs.
How long does a windshield repair take?
About 30 minutes for a typical chip. You can drive the car immediately afterward.
Will the chip be invisible after repair?
The repair restores the strength of the glass and stops the spread. Cosmetically, most repairs become faint marks you have to look for — but a repair is about structure first, appearance second.
Is repair covered by insurance?
Many comprehensive policies cover chip repair with no deductible because it saves the insurer a replacement claim later. We can also quote you a cash price that’s often low enough to skip the claim entirely.
